A colourful face for the Maternity ward on Women’s Day

A colourful initiative

Armed with spray paint, brushes and all smiles, volunteers pitched up at Parys District Hospital early on Women’s Day, 9 August, to brighten up the stay of patients in the maternity and prenatal wards. Thanks to the generous sponsor-ship of Parys Mica, Rust-oleum South Africa, and Pula Build it, volunteers Pinkie Moseme-Segoba, Chané Grimbeek and Angelique Kleynhans and their volunteer team, started by painting the drip stands to bring colour into the hospital wards. The community and businesses offered much support for the project, either helping or donating, for which the team is grateful. A huge thank you also to all who took part, came to support or spent time in the maternity ward.
At lunchtime, Stonehenge spoilt the volunteers with soup, bread and dessert. There were flowers for the 12 mothers and a present for their newborn babies.
