The Frankfort Driving Licence and Testing Centre (DLTC) will open again tomorrow, 17 May 2022, and all services will be available. This follows after the DLTC has not been fully functional after a breaking and theft of computers and cables.
To address the backlog created by this incident and the technical glitches experienced, the Department of Police, Roads and Transport (DPRT) took the decision to extend operating hours at Frankfort DLTC on weekdays and weekends until 19th of June 2022.
The testing centre will be open on Mondays to Fridays from 07:30 to 18:00 daily, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 08:00 until 14:00. These extended official hours only apply to the Frankfort Testing Centre.
The department urges motorists to make ample use of the additional hours as the unscheduled closure of the testing station caused major disruptions in service delivery.
