Tekkie Tax – better together

Epilepsy SA in Parys depends on Tekkie Tax to be able to raise much- needed funds. Unlike in the past, Tekkie Tax is celebrated throughout August this year. The theme for the month is “Better together”.

”In the past, it was one of our greatest sources of income,” says Gary Westwood, the director of Epilepsy SA’s Free State/North West centre. “Last year, Covid-19 affected the campaign very badly and although we expected an improvement this year, the last lockdown affected our ability to market the campaign. That is why the campaign runs for a month this year and not only a day.”

By buying a R10 sticker, or shoelaces and a sticker for R35, your support will assist tremendously in caring for persons with disabilities. Several national non-profit organisations have taken hands to enable this singularly focused national fundraising campaign.

Tekkie Tax is a dynamic project, owned and managed by welfare organisations, to the benefit of welfare organisations. From the aged to children, animals to the ill and persons with disabilities, all benefit from Tekkie Tax.

Tekkie Tax items are available at Epilepsy SA in Boom Street, Parys Info or by phoning Bianca on 064 026 0232 to arrange delivery.

Our mascot, Happy, is also eager to attend your business or school to promote Tekkie Tax and boost a much-needed spirit of happiness in the community.
