In full force to make sure people do comply

This was the message of General Baile Motswenyane, Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in the Free State, and  Brigadier Mapulane Mbeloane, District Commissioner for the Fezile Dabi district this morning (Friday 16 July) to members of Parys and Tumahole SAPS, Public Order Policing, Traffic and K9 units in the Fezile Dabi district at a parade before the start of a roadshow that kicked off in Parys and will also be extended to Sasolburg later today.

Genl. Motswenyane and  Brigadier  Mbeloane were joined by General Modise, General Lesia (Head of the Police in the Free State), General Singh, Colonel Moloi, Lt. Colonel De Vos, Lt Colonel Jansen van Rensburg, Capt, Mbele and Capt. Pebane.  The Ngwathe Mayor, Cllr Joey Mochela and municipal representatives were also present at the parade.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Together with the police and traffic officials, military vehichles were seen in town with 51 soldiers  from the School  of Engineers Kroonstad under the command of Col Ngwadla, and the Military Police from Kroonstad under the command of Capt D.F. Malgas. The main objective of the roadshow –  showing strength and visibility in the Parys CBD area and in Tumahole.

At the Taxi Rank in Town, General Motswenyane again stressed the importance to create stability in the country now.

   

 

   

 

 

 

 

 

Although the situation is still calm in and around Parys, police are on high alert patrolling all areas joined by provincial traffic members and the soldiers and can people expect that now mercy will be shown for those not wearing masks and not complying with the disaster act regulations.

Please make sure you do not spread any fake news, videos or voice notes. Messages that can not be verified creates panic amongst communities. Make sure only to follow trustworthy news sources.

Take note that here is no reason for any panic now in town or for business owners to close their businesses.
