Gunman opens fire in Vanderbijlpark

 

In a shocking incident in Vanderbijlpark a gunman opened fire  last night (Tuesday 2 February) at a  fast food outlet in Frikkie Meyer Boulevard.

According to Shawn Herbst from Netcare 911,  they responded to the incident shortly after 19:00. Medics found that two adult males had sustained serious injuries after being shot.

Another adult male had sustained moderate injuries after being run over by the gunman during a getaway.

Close to the fast food outlet the gunman had also fatally wounded the 47 year old Willem Kriel.

After the shooting incidents he apparently shot himself at the Sharpeville Global filling station 

In the meanwhile it has been confirmed that an 18 year old boy, Nathan Hebler, one of the victims of the mass shooting incident, had died. He was shot 3 times by the unknown man in the golden coloured BMW. Nathan was at the fast food outlet together with his dad, Johan. Johan was also shot in the inident and is in the Netcare Unie hospital in Alberton. 

Nathan would have been in matric this year and was a learner of the Destinata Private School in Meyerton, Netwerk24 reported.
