Library doors will open again

The Parys Public Library would be opening its doors to the public this week, for the first time since lockdown started. The libraries were allowed to reopen under lockdown regulations for level 3.

However, the spokesperson for the Free State Department of Sports, Arts and Culture, responsible for the public library, Mr Zola, said they first had to prove their readiness to comply with all safety and health regulations.

The libraries then had to apply to the minister and show compliance with the Covid-19 pandemic protocols. While some municipal libraries had opened earlier, the public libraries in Parys no longer fall under the jurisdiction of the Ngwathe Municipality
