Rotary contributing towards Covid-19 relief

Since the start of the lockdown, the Rotary Club of Parys has contributed R32,000 to various welfare organisations in the Parys/Vredefort district.

The beneficiaries included Red Ribbon, OCSA soup kitchen, Client Prison Ministries, Overcomers, Epilepsy SA, the Villa Riviera Clinic, Mimosa Gardens accomodation for the homeless, the SPCA and pastors of Tumahole.

In addition to this, a former Parys resident, Mandy (Benjamin) Muchnick through her non-profit organisation, IMAGINE.NATION, arranged a donation of 750 blankets to the Parys Rotary Club for distribution among the needy of Parys and Vredefort.

Mandy, the daughter of Rotarian, Colin Benjamin, wanted to make a contribution to her hometown, of which she cherishes great childhood memories.

The Rotary Club extends its gratitude to Sakkie Vermeulen for transporting the blankets to Parys, free of charge.
