Action-packed battles for the first qualifier for Parys 400 this afternoon

Be sure not to miss the race

This coming weekend is the last chance for production vehicle teams in the National Cross Country Series to better their championship standings. Although the overall title and the various class championship titles in the Production Vehicle category of the 2019 South African National Cross Country Series (SACCS) have been settled, the rest of the podium positions and final standings can still change. They will only be finalised at the Parys 400 this weekend. The event will form the sixth and final round of the SACCS season. The Parys Airfield is where action will meet entertainment on Friday and Saturday, 1 and 2 November.
Race headquarters, the designated service park (DSP) and the spectator stadium stage will be situated at the airfield, where the starting and endpoints are. Entrance is free. Teams will complete documentation and vehicle scrutineering on Friday morning at the airfield with the 45 km qualifying race starting at 13:00. The qualifying race will determine the starting positions for Saturday when the leading team will open the road at 07:30. This means the whole field should be back at the airfield in time to watch the World Cup Rugby final in a large marquee on two big screens. The race will then restart at 13:15. This year the route will lead competitors over about 12 farms in the Weiveld and Dover district.
Spectators can enjoy the racing action at the stadium stage and various vantage points along the route. Cross country followers can also follow the action on their mobile devices by downloading the RallySafe App.
