Information sought after hit and run

VANDERBIJLPARK. – The police are looking for information which could assist in solving a case of culpable homicide that took place on Monday August 19 at 06:15 at Delfos Boulevard in Vanderbijlpark when a 56-year-old cyclist was killed in a hit and run accident. According to Vanderbijlpark Police Spokesperson, Sergeant Gertrude Makhale, the deceased (Daniel Sithole) was seemingly on his way to work with his colleague when he was hit by a white Tata bakkie.

The deceased was rushed to a local hospital but passed away on September 9. Police appeals to anyone who might have witnessed the hit and run to come forward to assist with the investigation.

At this stage any information will be helpful. Sergeant Makhale said that this could help the family of the deceased with the healing process and to bring closure.
