Adelaine van Zyl, well known to many Parys residents, wrote the SAICA ITC exam in June 2019. The results released on 16 August 2019, reflected that Adelaine passed the ITC exam.
Sadly, Adelaine never received the wonderful news as she passed away on 23 July 2019.
Adelaine leaves behind her 10-year-old son, Christiaan who will be cared for by his grandmother, Petro van Zyl.
This means Christiaan had to move from his home in Pretoria to Parys, where his grandmother lives.
Young Christiaan had to bravely face a new school, new home and future without his beloved mom.
In support of Christiaan, Marelize Senekal, a SAICA member, and Sanet van Tonder (relative), started a ‘back-a-buddy’ campaign to assist Christiaan’s grandmother, the only beneficiary of this fund, with his education and welfare costs.
