Chinese delegation signs memorandum with Ngwathe

A Chinese delegation from Chizhou signed a memorandum of understanding with Ngwathe in Parys on 23 August.
The Memorandum dealt with mutually beneficial cooperation and interaction between the city of Chizhou and Ngwathe.
The executive mayor of Ngwathe, Ms Joey Mochela and Mr Yong Chenghan, the mayor of Chizhou city in the People’s Republic of China, signed the Memorandum. The document includes the promotion of so-called “people-to-people” friendly interaction on economic and trade relations, said Mr Steve Naale, the communications officer for Ngwathe.

Ms Mochela and senior administrators led the Chizhou entourage, which also consisted of senior government officials. They visited local manufacturers in both Parys and Tuma- hole. Among them were the SMME container park for local manufacturers, Parys airfield, Mimosa Gardens and a clothing and cleaning manufacturing industry in Tumahole.
Ngwathe gave each of the visitors a blanket.
The details of the MoU’s contents are not known.
