Explosion at substation leads to loss of supply to Bothaville

Eskom apologises for the inconvenience and urges those affected to be patient while supply is being restored.

An explosion of a breaker at Bothaville Munic Substation at 14:00 has resulted in the loss of supply to Bothaville, Khotsong, Mirage
and Regina.
An estimated recovery time is not yet known and will only be announced once the fire has been extinguished and the damage has been assessed. It is however
expected that the full restoration will not be completed before tomorrow, 04 December 2018.
The cause of the incident is still unknown.
Eskom apologises for the inconvenience and urges those affected to be patient while
supply is being restored.
Electricity supply can be switched on without notice. Customers are therefore
reminded to treat all electrical sockets and appliances as live and dangerous.
