Big enough to count, small enough to care

It all started with a dairy farmer who was tired of struggling with equipment suppliers on whom he could not depend.

And so, in 1997, Valtrac (Pty) Ltd was founded by well-known Parysenaar, Wynn Dedwith. Wynn’s belief in the quality of products and his passion for helping others enabled Valtrac to expand from a Parys (Northern Free State) family-based business to a brand recognised across Southern Africa.
This year, Valtrac (Pty) Ltd celebrates 21 years of business. Since 1997, the company has grown immensely. They are now known for being the top suppliers of award winning Valtra tractors in South Africa.
Valtrac hosted a glamorous evening at the Afridome Parys on 3 August in celebration of their 21st birthday. Here they thanked and acknowledged clients, staff and suppliers for their loyal support.

“We are proud of the successes we’ve achieved with the product ranges we import and sell in Southern Africa. But most of all we are proud and thankful for our loyal customer base. We enjoy and appreciate seeing how their productivity and efficiency improves as a result of the product ranges we provide,” company CEO Wynn Dedwith said.

Referring to the company motto, “big enough to count.. small enough to care,” he shared customer stories, saying that, no matter what the problem or how small the glitch, no stone is left unturned, even if it meant flying in a helicoper with a mechanic and toolbox to provide service customers can depend on.
He added that technology plays a pivotal part in farming today.
The company has been working with farmers and producer organisations to procure products with the end user and specific applications in mind, importing only tractors and implements from the world’s top brands.
During the event, delegates also had the opportunity to experience the latest ground-breaking technology firsthand.
