This is our latest case. Makes us sick to the stomach that children were instructed by his owner to stone the sweet Staffie boy to death!! Thank god a call for help was placed to Samantha Howland who offers help in the Northern Areas. AACL assisted Samantha to gone in and collect him. We were told an investigation will take place and we pray cruelty charges will be laid against the owner. His teeth have also been ground down, so suspicion is he was used as a bait dog.
His spirit is broken but yet so timid and sweet. He got a full vet check today by Dr Lang of Southern Cross Vet, dewormed and a vitamin boosting injection with antibiotics to heal his wounds. He is in safe and loving foster care with Karen Brash. He is going to get nothing but love, gentle touches and a warm place to sleep with lots of food from today.
We are appealing for any financial assistance with our vet account, as we are looking after so many sick and injured animals. They all need decent good quality food and medication.
