The Potchefstroom K9 (dog) Unit patrol in Ikageng bore fruit when it arrested two men for possession of dagga worth an estimated R26 000 last Wednesday.

According to Sgt Kelebogile Trom, the SAPS spokesperson, the K9 Unit arrested the two men, aged 22 and 32 respectively, at about 07:30 on Wednesday.
‘The unit was busy with patrols when they noticed a silver vehicle parked in front of a house and an African male was seen standing at the door with a bag in his hand. When they stopped and entered the yard, they could smell the dagga from a distance.
‘They looked inside the bag and found a total of 8.871 kilogrammes of dagga,’ she said.
