Rotary helps keep town clean

With the help of the community, including Reptmetco, Otters Haunt, The Savannah Africa, Koepel Metal, Vicor and Jacks Paint, Rotary’s pilot project for recycling of public waste has begun at the entrance to Ngwathe Municipality’s Mimosa Gardens - the starting point for the Parys parkrun every Saturday morning. Rotarians have been volunteers for the Parys parkrun since it started in November 2014, and they continue to be regular volunteers, not only in the events themselves but also in Vaal River (and other) cleanup actions.

The three bins for recycling bottles, cans and glass can be emptied by the informal   recycling collectors.
Rotary values and respects their efforts

in keeping our town cleaner and encourage the public to assist in sorting their waste into cans, glass and plastic.
Special thanks to Rotarian Karen Addison for spearheading this initiative.
