Mrs Minnie Kilian, a former principal of the school, was the guest speaker and spoke about spring as one of the seasons in a person’s personal life. The three-course meal consisted of butternut soup, brisket with prune sauce, pap, spinach, mushroom mould, carrots in pineapple sauce, mixed salad, milk tart in a mug/jar (also their gift), finished off with coffee and peanut butter and chocolate balls.

The learners prepared the food and were responsible for the service and cleaning afterwards. The ten Gr. 12 chefs and the waiters were real stars, especially Palesa Molata, who was the hostess of the day.
