Still outstanding
Erect warning notices: as promised by the municipal manager many times, against illegal mining and stealing of soil at the old Parys cemetery; instruct the traffic department to start policing this and open cases of theft against perpetrators
Replace  the stop sign that was taken down in error: Cnr of Water and Loop streets
Fix water leak under Fredericks building in Water Street to avoid legal action by owner claiming damages from Ngwathe Local Municipality (structural damage to the building is already appearing)
Fix urgent water leaks reported repeatedly:
•Cnr Schilbach / Noorder St – water loss under tar, over a year, getting worse daily
•Cnr Pres Kruger / Muller St – water leaks under the tar, over six months.
Fix dangerous electrical faults:
•5 Witstinkhout Ave – dangerous situation reported many times
•Transformer boxes without doors, or with broken locks – these contribute to cable theft and may cause death.
•Some power cables (eg. Paulsen and Kort St) are hanging dangerously low.
•Dangerous electrical poles, some leaning over, others rusted at the bottom
•Broken street lights in Parys and Vredefort – only 30% work.
Manholes:
•60 Van Coller Street – manhole in tar road below street level – dangerous as it could cause accidents.
Unfortunately, none of the reported problems published last week have been fixed.
