Museum doors to open soon

The Parys Museum has been closed for some time now owing to a lack of funding. Not only is there no money for a permanent appointment to keep the museum doors open, there is not even enough to maintain the building and garden. Unfortunately, this has resulted in homeless people littering and vandalising the terrain unabated.

The Parys Museum has been closed for some time now owing to a lack of funding.
Not only is there no money for a permanent appointment to keep the museum doors open, there is not even enough to maintain the building and garden. Unfortunately, this has resulted in homeless people littering and vandalising the terrain unabated.
But the good news is that a Parys resident, Huma Sekhoetso Sehume has taken it upon himself to see that this important part of the town’s history is looked after as in the past, and is open for everyone to enjoy in the very near future.
Huma matriculated at Phehellang Secondary School in 2003 and went on to further his studies with Intec College. He completed a diploma course in project management  in 2010 and enrolled with the Centurion Academy (known as IQ Academy) to enhance his skills with a diploma in marketing management between 2009 and  2011. He then registered with Unisa for a Honours degree in academic development but, unfortunately, was not able to pursue this as a result of financial constraints.
In 2005, Reality Labour Consultancy employed  him as a labour consultant. The firm later appointed him as a field expert (2005 March – 2007 July).
Reality is an emerging private labour consultation firm that specialises in individual and organisational labour dispute representation.
It has only one branch that serves the whole of the Fezile Dabi district (Ngwathe Municipality) in the Northern Free State.
In 2005, Huma cofounded Mamavusi Trading Enterprise (MTE). This is an entity that renders a wide range of services and specialises in construction, civil and road works, engineering and catering. The company aspires to become the most eligible construction entity in South Africa.
Between 2009 and 2010, Emmanuel’s Advance employed him as a customer care representative at Cell C, during which time he underwent intense training  ultimately serving as a credit analyst. Being involved in a variety  of activities, he came up with a notion and founded Revived Consulting Services cc in August 2010. This strategic consulting firm specialises in bottom-line growth strategies to cater for the needs of any organisation. The company intends to rejuvenate the marketing sector in the southern  hemisphere of Africa.
From here, he conducts agricultural activities, youth development, participation in sports, reading and painting, history and reaching new frontiers.
He will now see to it that the museum’s doors will be open every day, including weekends.
