The South African Revenue Service (SARS) Mobile Tax Unit will be assisting members of the public on the following dates:
Vredefort Town Hall – 8 August 09:00 – 15:00
Parys Spar – 10 & 11 August 09:30 – 14:30
Koppie Public Library – 18 July 09:00-15:00
Viljoenskroon Public Library – 14 July & 17 August 09:00-15:00
To register as a taxpayer you need to bring the following documents with you:
1. Your original ID or passport plus a certified copy or, in the absence of an ID/passport an affidavit together with a temporary ID/passport.
2. Latest bank statement with a bank stamp.
3. Original proof of residential address not olden than trhee months which has your name and residential address for example your municipal account.
To submit your completed Income Tax Return (ITR12)
Bring the relevant supporting documents with you such as:
1. IRP5/IT3(1) employee tax certificates.
2. IT3(b) interest certificates in respect of investment income.
3. Medical aid certificates and receipts as a confirmation of payment.
4 Pension fund and retirement annuity certificates.
5. Travel logbook if you receive travel allowance.
6. Completed confirmation of diagnosis of disability form (ITR-DD) if you want to claim any disability expenses.
