‘Celebrating Motor Sport in all forms’ is the theme for this year’s Gauteng Motor Fest, once again proudly hosted by City of Ekurhuleni and supported by Carnival City and Ignition TV.

This year’s show theme is perfectly reflected in its rip-roaring event line-up, fine-tuned by organisers Thebe Reed Exhibitions to feature a host of new auto inspired activities, as well as the regular crowd-pleasing exploits that keep the devotees of petrol and pistons coming back year after year.

The 2015 Gauteng Motor Fest programme will feature two new track items: Honda NSF100 Racing, as well as GoKart Demo’s. The Honda NSF100 Racing, an initiative by Honda Motors Southern Africa in partnership with the SA Motorcycle Racing Academy, aims to introduce the youth of South Africa to the ‘joy’ of motorcycle circuit racing, creating future champions at entry and grass roots level, and encouraging young racers to race purpose-built bikes designed specifically for kids.

With the love for motorsport often starting from a young age, show organisers have ensured that kids and families are well taken care of, offering a feast of family entertainment in the form of the Puzy Quad Track, a Quatro Event Bungee trampoline, a number of cool Car Club displays, Remote Control Car racing, or discover the magic of a helicopter flight in a Bell Jet Ranger!

More roaring engines, tyre smoke and side-by-side action can be experienced with the return of the popular SupaDrift Series, showcasing the fastest growing motorsport to date. SupaDrift is a sideways extreme competition where the best of the best SA drifters showcase their skills by ‘keeping it sideways’ and burning rubber!

An absolute must for anyone looking for their next adrenaline rush, the SevensevenSports bagjump involves leaping off a six-meter high tower onto a custom made stunt airbag. As one of South Africa’s newest extreme sports, bagjumping is certainly not for the faint-hearted. From July 24 – July 26 the whole family can experience the heart-stopping free-fall feeling of bagjumping.

Visitors can ‘gear up’ for a good time with these action-packed activities or ‘shift down’ at the food stalls or beer garden – either way, head to The Rock Raceway, Brakpan, City of Ekurhuleni 24 – 26 July 2015 and secure your share of the excitement!

The Gauteng Motor Fest is proudly hosted by City of Ekurhuleni and supported by Carnival City and Ignition TV.
