ZAMDELA. – Two Sasolburg-based young men, Vuyisile Rani and Mojalefa Mphele founded a new company called BT Projects and Electrical Engineering. They donated full school uniforms and a cheque of R5000 to the underprivileged Tsatsi Intermediate School in Zamdela on Friday.

The hand-out was made during assembly, where children were singing and dancing with joy. The cheque for R5000 was handed to Principal Phillimon Dlomo. The donation was made due to the fact that Vuyisile Rani, co-owner of the BT Projects and Electrical Engineering’s parents, were both once learners at the very same school.

“I thought I should give back to the community that raised me and that shaped me into the person I am today. Both my parents used to be in this school and they have good memories. This school has raised me indirectly,” says Rani.
The project manager of the campaign Thandi Mnguni says their company needed to be close to their community and touching the lives of its members was one way to go.

“The school is one of the oldest schools in Zamdela and caters for children from the poverty-stricken backgrounds,” says Mnguni.

Food was further served to the children as part of accommodating the student body and all those who received their uniforms were thrilled.
