Request an ambulance by using this mobile APP

The mobile App also make it possible to report unethical behaviour by health staff such as fraud and corruption

The Free State Department of Health has introduced the Bophelo Mobile App to strengthen the patient-care experience across the whole Free State. The App allows citizens to request ambulances, receive status updates, and even telephonically interact with dispatch officers. It forms part of the broader modernization of the provincial Emergency Medical Services call centre capabilities.

With the Bophelo App you can now:

  • Request ambulance service
  • Report unethical behaviour by health staff such as fraud and corruption
  • Easily find health facilities near you.
  • Access useful contact numbers such as health facility management.
  • Receive important news and alerts from the Free State Department of Health.

You can download the App free from the Google Play Store or  App Store.

It is user friendly and enables you to directly register your incident and receive immediate confirmation that your incident is registered with a reference number.

If you don’t have a smartphone use USSD*134*1234#

A call centre agent will then call you back with a 087 number to register your call.
