Epilepsy Centre pay it forward

Each high school they visited received more than 400 sanitary towels to provide to young ladies in need, ahead of the matric exam.

Pay it forward is the motto of Epilepsy SA’s Free State/ North West branch in Parys, and that is exactly what they did.

When it was brought to their attention that 1 in 5 girls miss school due to menstrual cycles, the centre management decided to donate the surplus sanitary towels they had to high schools in the community.
Each high school they visited received more than 400 sanitary towels to provide to young ladies in need, ahead of the matric exam.

Schools that benefitted were Yakhisize, Boitlamo, Phehellang, Barnard Molokoane and the Schonkenville Intermediate School.
