School’s former students get together

It was a fruitful convergence of professions.

Mr and Mrs Sotsaka’s 1980 students at Gatelapele Secondary School in Wolmaransstad came to say ‘thank you.”
On 2 September about 40 former students of the Sotsaka family paid them a visit at Plot 12, Pistoriusrus, Parys, to say thank you for having been good teachers, and role models to them.

They maintained that thy got good education and discipline under their leadership, and that it why they are in different professions and in different positions in their occupations.

It was a fruitful convergence of professions.

They said their visit to Parys was to show their appreiation for the work well done.

Many of them wanted to know the magic forumala this family used that made them run the school so successfully, and having played the role of parents as well.

Mrs. Sotsaka replied that the students were malleable. They were easy to work with, cooperative, intelligent, and wiling to learn. Their parents were also supportive.

Students shared fond memories of their stayt at Gatelapele saying those memories were of tours, sports, classroom antics, concertsand various activities.

The atmosphere was alive with excitment, emotions, appreciation and amazement at such a union taking place at the home of their former principal after 43 years.

The Sotsaka family was overwhelmed with grattitude for such a wonderful gesture.
