Police require assistance in solving murder case

Police requests the help of the public

 

The police in Maokeng require assistance from the community in tracing and locating Nhlalo Sibanda who is believed to be able to assist the police in a murder investigation in Maokeng.

It is alleged that Nhlalo Sibanda and his girlfriend Materonko Koloko went to a friend’s party on Sunday, 9 April 2023. He came back home alone. She never returned home and a missing person file was opened at Maokeng SAPS and a search was conducted. On Tuesday, 11 April 2023, members of Maokeng SAPS and the Community Police Forum discovered the body of a female in an open field not far from her house.

The body was identified as Materonko Koloko (23) and certified dead on the scene. Nhlalo Sibanda (27) was the last person seen with the deceased. The police hereby request assistance with tracing and locating him, as it is believed he can assist the police in the murder investigation.

Anyone who has any information about the whereabouts of Nhlalo Sibanda is requested to contact Sergeant Jabulani Khumalo of Maokeng Detectives on 073 900 4892 who is investigating the circumstances surrounding the murder.
