A helping hand to those in need
Over the past years, Se Ki has reached out to various organisations, including Epilepsy SA's Free State/North West branch, the Lehlohonolo Day Care Centre and the Tumahole Selfhelp Association for the Disabled, making a difference by giving back to the communities of Parys, Tumahole and Schonkenville.
Words could not describe the gratitude of the personnel of Free State Care in Action when Se Ki handed grocery hampers to the organisation on Friday. The parcels will be distributed to 108 families in dire need who receive food parcels from Free State Care in Action monthly.
These families are totally reliant on the food aid they receive.
Se Ki and his wife’s generous donation came precisely when the organisation experienced huge challenges in difficult economic times, particularly over the festive season.
As a non-profit welfare organisation, Free State Care in Action depends on the generosity of the community and business people for their financial survival, as government subsidies are insufficient to meet the rising costs and growing needs of a community.
