Search for suspects continues after death of security guard
The Parys detectives are requesting assistance with information after a security guard was shot and killed while on duty.
It is alleged that on Wednesday, 30 November at about 22:00 the deceased and two of his colleagues were patrolling behind the Parys District Hospital to
prevent cable theft.
The trio walked in different directions. While patrolling, the other two security guards heard gun shots. They then went in the direction from where they heard the gunshots, and found the deceased lying on the ground with a gunshot wound in the chest.
He was taken to hospital and later on succumbed to his injuries.
No suspects have been arrested as yet
