Parys athletes shine at Soweto marathon

Parys Multisport congratulate all the runners on their achievements and wish them all the best as they prepare and qualify for the 2023 running season.

The hustle and bustle of Soweto took to a whole new level as thousands of road runners arrived for the 2022 Soweto Marathon on 6 November. Based on the testimony
of athletes and vendors, this year’s event brought a whole new and exciting vibe unlike anything they experienced before.
Athletes from Parys got in on the action and 12 athletes from Parys Multisport competed in this year’s event. Lukas Meyer competed in the 10km race. Running the 21,1km distance was Lize-Ann Luiz, Antoinette Becher, John Lempe, Krysta Heathcote, Monanki Phati, and Momekete Sekete. In the 42,2km distance we had Ryan and Tara Walmsley, Lauwrence Mohale, Stephanie van Rooyen, and Abraham Khoali.
