Adventure awaits with tough challenges for participants on the Badger race courses this weekend, Saturday, 27 August, when obstacle racing puts endurance and fitness to the test. The experience promises a lot of fun with climbing, scrambling, and getting wet and dirty. The ever-popular Badger races, well known as a highlight of the All Things Adventure at Stonehenge, are back after a two-year pandemic absence. Race registration starts at 08:00 on Saturday morning. Races begin at 09:00, offering a Kids’ race of 1,5 km for R70 per person, a 6 km Family race at R150 per person, an Elite race of 8 km at R350 per person, and a bonus for adrenaline junkies with an Elite race with rowing for teams of two members at R400 per person.
First prize for the Elite race is R1,000, R500 for the runner-up and R250 for third place. Elite team race prizes are R1,000 for the winner, R500 for the runner-up and R250 for the third place winner.
Remember, you can still book your tickets online at https://badgerrace.co.za. If you missed the online bookings, you can also enter on Saturday. Be sure to be there at 08:00 to register. All Things Adventure promises lots of fun; don’t rush home after the excitement. Browse through the stalls with everything and more for the outdoor enthusiast, arts and craft and various food stalls.
