A small crowd of about 70 EFF supporters joined in a protest march against municipal service delivery in Kwakwatsi, Koppies, today (Friday 22 July).

The memorandum with their grievances was received by Cllr Doris on behalf of the Ngwathe Executive Mayor, Cllr Victoria de Beer, who had to receive a memorandum from SANCO during their protest march in Parys today.

The EFF gave the Mayor 7 days to respond to their memorandum and dispersed peacefully.

Members of Public Order Policing Fezile Dabi district  kept an eye on both the protest marches in Koppies and Parys.

  • On Friday 15 July , about 20 EFF supporters also marched to the Master Nakedi Indoor Sports Centre  in Tumahole, where they handed a memorandum to Mr Netsivhodzathe on behalf of the Ngwathe Local Municipality. The document demanded service delivery in  Tumahole and also addressed other concerns.
