A woman was kidnapped from a busy parking lot in Carletonville and then robbed last week.

According to the Carletonville police, the incident happened at approximately 11:00 on Thursday, 7 July. The 36-year-old victim had just returned to her car in the parking area next to KFC on Ada Street. Two women approached her, saying they were selling Brazilian hair weaves.
While talking to one woman, the victim felt something like a bee sting on the back of her neck.
She then started feeling dizzy.
The women loaded her into their car and took her to a parking spot at the Carletonville Civic Centre. When she came around, two Nigerian men and an Indian man were standing outside the car.
They said they wanted R65,000 for her release. However, the victim said she did not have so much money.
“How much do you have then?” the criminals asked.
When the woman said she only had R5,000 in her account, they asked her for her bank card.
The Indian man took out a swipe machine and asked the woman for the Pin.
At first, she provided the wrong pin, and one of the women slapped her. When she eventually gave them the right Pin, they took all the R6,000 in her bank account. They then released the woman unscathed
