Fortunate, indeed, to be part of Miss SA journey

“Fortunate I am indeed, and what a blessing it was to be part of this journey,”

Although 25-year-old Fortunate Mabeleng from Parys did not make it to the Top 10 for Miss SA 2022, she is humbled at the amazing opportunity she had, being elected among the top 30 semi-finalists for Miss SA 2022.
The Top 10 finalists were announced at the Maslow Hotel in Sandton on Monday night. They are Tamsyn Jack, Ndavi Nokeri, Rebone Ntshehi, Luyanda Zuma, Lubé Meyer, Keaoleboga Nkashe, Ilumeleng Parage, Ayanda Thbethe, Anarzade Omar and Lebogang Mahlangu.
This year’s finalists come from Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, the Western Cape, North West and Limpopo.
Fortunate was the only Free State semi-finalist. Miss SA 2022’s crowning will happen at the SunBet Arena at Time Square in Pretoria in August. Fortunate was born and raised in Parys and is a former learner of Barnard Molokoane Comprehensive School, where she matriculated as the top achiever of her school with three distinctions. She studied forensic science at the University of the Free State. She is a tutor and also a part-time reception administrator at MediClinic Potchefstroom. She is currently training to be a forensic officer at North West Forensic Pathology.
