Feel like doing a crazy, fun pyjamas and socks parkrun?

Whatever your crazy choice, come and have a nice, sociable, warm parkrun on the banks of the Vaal River.

Want to celebrate your 50th, 100th or 250th parkrun milestone, or your parkrun tourist event achievement in an unique, warm way this winter? Then come to the “Pyjamas and snazzy socks” parkrun at Egweni River Lodge. If you prefer, change the theme to “Gown and snazzy socks”.
Pyjamas or gown? It depends on how much you want to “protect” yourself against the cold. Whatever your crazy choice, come and have a nice, sociable, warm parkrun on the banks of the Vaal River.
Never accept that running is a boring event, or that you can only run during the summer months. Don’t look ordinary; make a scene to project the running you.
Participate in the parkrun event at Egweni River Lodge on 28 May 2022, even if you have never participated before.
Wear your oldest/weirdest/warmest/only gown/pyjamas and as weird a pair of socks as you can think of – long or short.
Mix and match as you please. Join in the fun, laugh at each other, walk, jog, or run at your leisure. Bring old and new running friends along.
The parkrun family has always been about healthily enjoying yourself and not competing against others.
Too shy? Have no pyjamas or gown? Don’t worry. Then, just come and run in standard gear and support the funnies.
Join us for a cup of coffee at the lodge 15 minutes after the tail walker is in, and who knows, you may just be adjudged the best-dressed male or female gown and snazzy socks participant by unanimous collective decision. A surprise awaits you.
So, remember to set aside this day, even if it is the only parkrun you will ever participate in.
Remember to register for a barcode at www.parkrun.co.za if you don’t have one yet and present it if you want to participate in the event.
No barcode, no result and no fun theme win possible.
To be fair, the best dressed must have participated and will exclude all volunteers who just smile from ear to ear in their gear
