Adding deeds to words to make a difference in cleaning up

Inspired by the Summer Sun Town- house complex that started cleaning up across the road from them, Parys Animal Hospital decided to start the Allenby Street Clean Up WhatsApp group. They started by removing all the sand, soil and grass encroaching on the road.

The grass on the paving was cut, the trees, shrubs and weeds were cut back and the kweek in the paved section was sprayed with Roundup. Then, with the help of Afridome and In Vitro, 200 bags of tar were bought to fill potholes and the large furrow across the bottom of Allenby Street that the municipality created and never fixed properly.

When this report was published in Parys Gazette on 24 March, the work was not all done, but it was already a pleasure to drive here and much better for all outsiders that use the Afridome, In Vitro and Parys Animal Hospital for shows, auctions or business. Thank you to every private individual who also helped clean up, supported the workers with food and refreshments or generally supported the initiative. The initiative was an amazing example of adding deed to word to make a difference
