Community fails to disrupt SOPA

"Build houses in Evaton! On whose property?"

SEBOKENG. – It seems that a group of some community members from Evaton and Boiketlong had earlier attempted to disrupt the SOPA adress that is underway by the Gauteng Premier David Makhura at the Saul Tsotetsi Sports Complex, Sebokeng.

One group was seen carrying placards with one of the messages saying, “Build Houses in Evaton, on whose Property?” while the other group questioned the whereabouts of Papi Tobias, a vocal community member of  Boiketlong who went missing a few weeks ago. This attempt was swiftly stopped by SAPS members on the scene.

The Evaton community is reffering to the land that the Government will use to build houses in evaton, they state that that land that is being used for the Evaton Renewal Project does not belong to the Government.
