Organisations lend a helping hand to rebuild house after heavy rain

Several houses in Tumahole were destroyed during last week’s heavy rain and thunderstorm in Parys. Among them was the house of Mrs Kananelo Ennie. Fortunately, no one was injured. Mrs Ennie is an unemployed single parent from the Tambo section in Tumahole. She approached the Rise ‘n Shine Community Foundation and requested help from them. The foundation, together with Overcomers, responded by donating building material worth over R10,000 to restore hope to this single-parent mum.

Mr Fani Tekane, the foundation’s chairperson, extended his gratitude towards the Overcomers for joining hands with them, as non-government organisations, to lend a helping hand. The rebuilding of Mrs Ennie’s house started this week.
