Close to 30 road runners from Parys, 22 of whom ran in the colours of Parys Multisport, lined up with nearly 600 fellow runners to participate in the Bert’s Bricks Great Brick Run. The Great Brick run included distances of 21.1 km, 10 km and a five-km fun run. Prize money for the front-runners and medals to all finishers were on the table, but the popularity of this event revolves around the spirit and tradition of running the second half of the 21,1 km with a brick. Finishing the half-marathon with a brick in hand will earn you a well-deserved six-pack of beer.
