Five suspects between the ages of 17 and 34 appeared before the Vredefort Magistrate court yesterday (Tuesday 16 November) for the possession and allegedly dealing in drugs.
According to police spokesperson, Brig. Motantsi Makhele, the police’s Trio task team members were operating in the Vredefort vicinity on Monday 15 November at 05:30, when they received information on a couple of addresses suspected to be dealing in drugs and dagga.
Information was followed and upon arrival at the identified houses the members arrested five suspects – of which three females and two males. The members confiscated 3 halves of mandrax, 30 wrapped plastics of nyaope, 7 small plastics of crystal meth, 58 plastics of dagga and cash.
The five suspects will face charges of possession and dealing in drugs.
