This hanging chair is the perfect addition to your tween's or teen's bedroom. It's easy to make and something fun you can do with your child.

If your teen has been nagging you for a hanging chair to spruce up their room, you’ve come to the right place!

What could be cooler than a DIY hanging chair – that you and your teen have made together? Make your tween or teen’s bedroom the coolest place to hang out and read by making a hanging chair.

It’s a great option for a small room, where floor space is limited, and you might like this project so much that you’ll want to make a few hanging chairs for a porch or patio.

What you need:

  • 1,8 metres of fabric
  • A metal clip that can hold 100kg
  • 5 metres of rope
  • 1 metre long wooden dowel
  • A drill
  • Tape measure
  • Scissors
  • A sewing machine
