myrun Parys going at a steady pace

On 10 April 2021, the myrun at Parys Golf & Country Estate presented its 90th myrun since its launch on 2 December 2018. Provided that there are no Covid interruptions as we head into the colder winter months, the Parys myrun will remain on schedule to present its 100th run on 20 June 2021.
“myrun managed to maintain momentum through the lockdown and continues to grow at a steady pace. Seeing our regular runners and walkers and welcoming our new members has turned into a weekly highlight for me,” says Pierre Fourie, the race director of myrun Parys.
At its core, myrun remains true to its mission to bring communities together and inspire people to be physically more active through all stages of their lives.
During the past two years, thousands of runners and walkers from near and far have crossed the finish line at myrun Parys. “myrun is so much more than a Sunday run. Despite being a free, fun and safe activity at a beautiful venue, myrun has also become a bit of a tourist attraction and positive contributor to our local economic climate,” says Pierre.
The continued success and growth of myrun Parys can only be attributed to the support of our health-conscious community, sponsors, dedicated volunteers and technical support, innovative techno- logy and the beautiful venue. It enables the organisers to present this family activity in a clean, safe environment..
