The North West Bowls annual two bowls trips competition starts on various greens in the province on 10 April, culminating in the finals Nor a week later, 17 April.
Twenty-six women’s teams entered and 36 men’s are doing battle.
For the first time, there are more women’s teams from the two Potchefstroom clubs: five from PCC and five from Potch Town. Klerksdorp only entered four teams. The rest of the teams are Parys (3) and La Farge (2), with one team each from Mahikeng, Sannieshof and Zeerust.
Klerksdorp entered eleven teams in the men’s competition – five from PCC, four from Potch Town and four from Parys. Mahikeng entered three teams, with two each from La Farge and Sannieshof, and one from both Orkney and Zeerust.
