We are fast approaching the festive season, a time when relaxation, gifts and family are on the minds of many. However, it is also a time when for many, the demands of our day to day life still continue, like in the case of doctors who work hard saving lives and in most cases can only do so with the help of blood and blood products.
As a result, SANBS is proud to host a blood donation community challenge between Parys and Viljoenskroon to collect the most units of blood to ensure a safe blood supply over the festive season.
Communities of Parys are encouraged to donate blood on Tuesday 10 November at the Reformed Church Hall from 13:00 – 19:00 in a bid to collect 100 units and more.
Community members of Viljoenskroon can donate blood on Tuesday 17 November at the NG Moedergemeente Church Hall from 11:00 – 16:30.

We want to encourage the public to find 30 minutes this holiday period to donate blood, because while you are relaxing and enjoying the break your blood can save up to three lives.
It is only possible to meet the demand with the help of regular and committed blood donors.
