Vredefort and Parys Police Stations temporarily closed

Please take note that both the Parys and Vredefort Police Stations are currently temporarily closed for decontamination following positive Covid-19 testing.

The Community Service Centre (CSC) for Parys has been moved  in the meanwhile to the canteen for the period of decontamination. The entrance is in Venus Street next to the Parys Magistrate Court premises. The CSC will still be able to record all reports and complaints.

The Vredefort CSC has been moved to the Municipal Chamber c/o Vrey and Kerk Street.

The public will be informed when both the Vredefort and Parys Police Stations can be reopened after decontamination and consultation with the Provincial Department of Health.

The Department of Health urge people to stay calm and be assured that the Department has contact tracing teams who immediately react upon positive testing.

The latest recorded stats on 6 July indicates that Parys now has 46 recorded cases of positive Covid-19 testing, and 4 in Vredefort.
