3,000 buckets to spread the message

3,000 buckets to spread the message

Three thousand 20-litre buckets of hand sanitiser were distributed in Ngwathe last Thursday, with the help of ward councillors and the mayor’s office. They assisted in identifying the most vulne- rable households – those without water, the homeless, indigent and child-headed homes, which will benefit from the project.

The project runs in the Mpumalanga, Free State and Gauteng provinces. It is an initiative of the Department of Economic, Small Business Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs, driven by the community.
Each bucket of sanitiser should last a household up to 20 weeks and spreads the message of what Covid-19 is, and the importance of washing and sanitising hands and surfaces.
