Scrapyard owners warned against buying stolen goods

Members of Evaton SAPS (FLASH) that include the Firearms unit, Liquor and second hand goods officers together with different stakeholders that comprised the Emfuleni Bylaw Unit raided different scrapyards in search of illegal and/or stolen goods on Wednesday.

Stolen items that are mostly found at scrapyards include electrical appliances, copper cables and stolen spares (car radios, speakers and tools) from stolen vehicles.

Police Spokesperson, Captain Aubrey Moopeloa said that although no arrests were made the owners were warned of the implication of buying stolen goods.
