An elderly woman died and her husband was injured after a so-called “blue light gang” instructed them to pull over on the R59 in the south of Johannesburg on Tuesday 4 February.
The couple was on their way home in their Toyota Hilux bakkie between 20:30- and 21:00 Tuesday night after a prayer service in Meyerton, when the incident happened.
The couple’s bakkie was later found in the veld on the R550, about 5km from where the woman’s body was found.
