The teacher of Laerskool Jongspan, who is in his thirties, first appeared in the Oberholzer Magistrates’ Court on 13 November.
He was released on R3,000 bail, on condition that he may not go near the school.
He will appear in court again on 11 December.
The teacher was arrested after a parent alerted his colleagues to an alleged incident at the school on Friday, 8 November. That day, the male teacher had allegedly shown some children a pornographic video. He had reportedly also given them cigarettes and talked to some of them about masturbation.
