According to Warrant Officer Mpho Manyoba, the police spokesperson, the woman sustained critical injuries when a vehicle hit her at around 18:00.
The deceased, believed to be middle-aged, has still not been identified.

Manyoba confirms that a case of culpable homicide has been opened and is being investigated.

The police plead with the community to go to the police station or provincial mortuary if their loved one has gone missing.
