The road between Carletonville and Welverdiend has been blocked on and off by protesters since yesterday afternoon. As far as could be determined, the alternative road for Welverdiend residents to get to Carletonville past Waters Edge is also now blocked.

As far as could be determined, the protesting is taking place because of electricity and water problems in Khutsong Extension 5.

In the meantime the road between Kokosi and Fochville is also blocked by protesters from Kokosi about electricity problems.
